How To Create A High Converting Squeeze Page
This is part 7 of the interview that I did with Deepo Thomas. Part 6 was about “Is It Possible To Make Money Straight Away With Solo Ads?” and this part is about “How To Create A High Converting Squeeze Page”
Matt Poc: How To Create A High Converting Squeeze Page, and maybe could you show us an example?
Deepo Thomas: What you’re going to want to do is…most of mine are video squeeze pages.
And the reason why is, I just feel like – and from doing some testing and so forth – video squeeze pages are, from what I’ve seen, are more converting.
Now there are going to be other marketers out there who beg to differ, but I just put myself in the shoes of someone that’s out there, who’s going to be looking at offers.
And when I see a video, then it’s sort of, it keeps my attention.
It really let’s me see and just get a better feel and sense of what the product or the offer is that’s asking for my name and e-mail address. So I have several squeeze pages that are done with video and what you can do is what’s called split testing.
If you’ve got maybe two or three different versions of a particular squeeze page, then what you can do is you can actually put all three of these on your website. And then on the front of them you can set up what is called a URL Rotater.
That’s where when somebody clicks on the link, the first time it’s clicked it goes to A, it goes to page A or page 1. Then when the link is clicked it goes to page 2, then when the link is clicked it goes to page 3, and so on.
What you do is, you do this over a series of time, and the one squeeze page that has the most response, or has the highest opt-in rate, wins. And that’s your most-converting squeeze page out of the three.
A lot of people – it doesn’t have to be video starting out because I know that can get kind of complicated in building pages and putting together video.
Basically what you can have is your offer, with an image – like say if you’re offering a free report or an e-book, you can have your e-book image. You can have bullet points that describe what this is about.
At the top you’re going to want to have a big, bold headline about what the offer is. You want to have a catchy phrase, something that’s going to grab the visitor’s attention, and of course you’re going to want to have your opt-in form really visible.
And you’re going to want to have it near the top so that someone can see hey, I need to put my name and e-mail address to get this free product.
So that’s what you’re going to want to do. And if you can build three different versions of that squeeze page, then you can test it, which one converts the best, and the one that converts the best is the winner and that’s the one you stay with.
