This is a part of an interview that I did with Deepo Thomas and this part is called Safe Swaps – Is It Worth Your Time?

Matt Poc:  OK. What do you think about search sites such as Safe-Swaps.com. And the reason I ask this is because many people who are searching for partners do many ad swaps, so their lists may not be as responsive as other peoples’ lists.

Deepo Thomas:  Yeah, and that’s a good question because some peoples’ traffic is not as responsive as others. Hopefully, if you join a site like Safe-Swaps, what you’re going to want to do is you’re going to want to pay attention to stats.

I mean, it’s all about stats. And they have a place that you can look to see what the opt-in-to-stat ratios are, and if you’re not getting at least 20% opt-in ratio to clicks, then I suggest that you either don’t swap with a partner or you ask them, “What happened here?” or perhaps even take a look at stats.

The stats will show you where the origination of the click came from. Some of these marketers are – and a few of them, I wouldn’t say a whole bunch of them – are using social media places like Twitter and Facebook to send traffic, to trade traffic with, and to me that’s a big, big no-no. And the reason why is, yes, it’s traffic, but the traffic is not targeted as it would be if it were coming from someone’s auto-responder.

So, Safe-Swaps is a good place and you’re going to want to take a look at a person’s reputation.

When I take a look and I go through it, I look at feedback, that’s one of the things I look at.

Oftentimes someone will comment, saying, “Really responsive traffic, I really recommend this person. The opt-ins were great, got lots of new subs.” That kind of thing is what you’re going to want to look for in the feedback locations.

That’s it for this part called Safe Swaps – Is It Worth Your Time?.
